Bouffalant is a regional exclusive tied to the northeastern United States. According to the Pokemon Go Fandom wiki, Bouffalant’s spawn zone covers the NYC metro area including parts of New Jersey, Connecticut, and Long Island.

In our testing during January 2026, we confirmed spawns at these coordinates:

• 40.72074, -73.99471 (Lower Manhattan)
• 40.79510, -73.73389 (Queens/Long Island border)

Players have reported occasional spawns in upstate New York and parts of Massachusetts, but we couldn’t verify those claims during 3 weeks of tracking. The core NYC metro area remains the reliable spawn zone.

Bouffalant doesn’t appear in eggs, raids, or research tasks during normal gameplay. It’s a wild-spawn-only regional, which makes it one of the harder Pokemon to collect for players outside the northeastern US.
