Anyone who has your phone number stored on their device can find your Snapchat account this way. According to Snapchat’s privacy settings page, phone number discovery is on by default for all accounts, which is why unfamiliar names sometimes appear in your friend requests. Most people don’t even realize this setting exists until a stranger sends them a request.
