Which devices run iPadOS 27?

iPadOS 27 drops five older models that ran iPadOS 26: the 1st-gen 11-inch iPad Pro, the 3rd-gen 12.9-inch iPad Pro, iPad Air 3, iPad 8, and iPad mini 5.

Apple Intelligence requires an iPad mini (A17 Pro) or any iPad with an M1 chip or later. The heaviest on-device tasks require an M4 chip or later with at least 12GB of RAM.
